Vans Release Climbing helmet concept
The Vans Release climbing helmet concept was greatly inspired by the Vans company, and as a result the helmets two tone colour scheme and customisable bash plate.
The idea behind this helmet is that the ice climbing environment can be more unforgiving than rock climbing counterpart where repeated scapes and impacts are certain to occur. This helmet aims to increase the life span of a climbing helmet by having an entirely replicable parts range, including the all important bash or impact plate.
The plate itself would be offered in bright solid colours such as orange, red and yellow to make it easier to locate climbers in difficult terrain. Climbers could also opt to have additional reflective surfaces and name plates for increased visibility and ease of climber identification.
